While starting therapy can be intimidating, my warm and casual interactions will make the hard work easier and more approachable. In your sessions, I’ll work with you to identify solutions to the difficult problems you’re facing while helping you compassionately accept yourself as you are.
Arlen Carey
Arlen Carey earned a PhD in Sociology from the University of Texas at Austin and an MSW in Clinical Social Work from the University of Central Florida. He has practiced clinical social work in Florida, Louisiana, and Maine prior to moving to Minnesota. He is Director of the Trauma-Informed Clinical Master of Social Work Program at Winona State University.
Bridget Skyhawk
Bridget Skyhawk (she/her/hers) earned her MSW in Clinical Social Work from the University of New England. She has training and experience using mindfulness techniques, somatic techniques, trauma-informed expressive arts therapy, and Neurotherapy. She specializes in working with people who have endured developmental trauma and enjoys incorporating social justice, creative arts, and mindful movement into her work.
Nicole De Vera
Nicole is a clinical trainee at AMAR Wellness, and has been practicing under the supervision of Amy Carey, LICSW for 2 years. She received a BSW from Winona State University in 2018 and an MSW from University of Denver in 2020. Prior to providing therapy services, Nicole advocated for children, families, and individuals struggling with intergenerational trauma and substance use issues.
Samantha Schneider
Samantha Schneider (she/her) earned a PhD in Social Work from Simmons University in Boston, Massachusetts and an MSW in Clinical Social Work from Boston University. Samantha practiced clinical social work in Boston for several years prior to moving to Minnesota. Her experience is primarily in working with children and families, though she has experience working with young adults as well.
